'Superman' (2025)'s soundtrack is now out!

Recorded at Atlantic Studios, New York, New York. Street Tough is a studio album by Ben E. King, his final album released directly with Atlantic Records. It was released in 1981. King worked with his son, Ben Jr., on some of the tracks.

The Very Best of Elton John is a greatest hits compilation album by English musician Elton John, released in October 1990. His first career-retrospective compilation album, and fourth official greatest-hits album overall, it was released in the United Kingdom and throughout Europe, and in other countries such as Japan and Australia, but not in the United States, where the box set To Be Continued… was released the following month instead.

A 2 CD set that collects all the many singles of Styx can't be all that bad, but it is marred by its seemingly random track order. Come Sail Away - The Best of Styx is another 2 CD set that corrects this error. However, Styx's best music can't even fit on two CDs, and the band's music is begging for the boxed set treatment. This will never come about because of licensing issues, record executive's doubts about its sale-ability, and the fact that the band's different songwriters would likely want to emphasize their own songs over the others. Deutsche Grammophon is celebrating Leonard Bernstein's 100th birthday (August 18, 2018) with a mammoth project. The great conductor, composer and musical communicator is commemorated in various editions; This Complete Works edition celebrates Bernstein's work as a passionate composer for the first time, a facet of his multiple works that was particularly close to his heart. The entire spectrum of Bernstein's musical work is presented on 26 CDs and 3 DVDs, music for ballets, operas, musicals, soundtracks, symphonic works, as well as piano, chamber and vocal music - Bernstein's work as a composer unfolds not only stylistically but also genre-wise. regarding in living diversity.

With Pharoah Sanders’ blessing, this limited edition 2 LP box set presents the definitive, remastered version of PHAROAH, his seminal record from 1977, along with two previously unreleased live performances of his masterpiece “Harvest Time." PHAROAH will be released a year after the legendary tenor saxophonists’ untimely death, and two years after the release of what was to become his final album, the widely acclaimed PROMISES, a collaboration between the composer Floating Points and Pharoah Sanders, featuring the London Symphony Orchestra (Luaka Bop, 2021).

In his liner notes to this collection, Henry Mancini, who wrote five of the 11 selections, makes the case that Audrey Hepburn was the inspiration for his writing for the pictures she starred in, and who is to disagree with him? Certainly, some of Mancini's most memorable work came with his Hepburn movies of the early '60s – Charade, Two for the Road, and of course, Breakfast at Tiffany's. Other pieces here cannot be tied so closely to Hepburn; Frederick Loewe's music for My Fair Lady predated her. Still, it is Hepburn's image that comes to mind when one bears Fred Astaire singing "He Loves, She Loves" from Funny Face, even if composer George Gershwin died when she was nine. In any case, this compilation makes for a charming listening experience, especially at its end, when Hepburn is heard singing "Moon River."

Crimson Gold presents the Tremeloes ‘Gold’, the only Tremeloes compilation you’ll ever need. The group formed in the early 1960s, taking inspiration from Buddy Holly as well as their fellow British beat groups. After the departure of their front-man, Brian Poole, the Tremeloes began a career of their own and achieved an impressive 22 UK top 40 singles. This definitive 3CD set features 45 tracks spanning the Tremeloes career from 1968 into the early 1980s. CD 1 opens with the group’s first hit single ‘Here Comes My Baby’. Penned by Cat Stevens, the single hit #4 in the UK charts and #13 in the US. Other hits featured on CD 1 include the UK #1 ‘Silence Is Golden’ which sold over a million copies worldwide and ‘Even The Bad Times Are Good’ which was another UK top ten hit for the band. CD 2 features even more Tremeloes’ hits such as ‘(Call Me) Number One’ which hit #2 in the UK charts as well as a selection of fan favourite covers including Bob Dylan’s ‘I Shall Be Released’ and Buddy Holly’s ‘Everyday’. Quartet Records, in collaboration with GDM and EMI Music Publishing Italia, presents a remastered, expanded edition of Ennio Morricone’s avant-garde score for Elio Petri’s UN TRANQUILLO POSTO DI CAMPAGNA (aka A QUIET PLACE IN THE COUNTRY) (1968). The film, a psychological thriller-drama starring Franco Nero and Vanessa Redgrave, is about a renowned and neurotic painter (Nero), who after moving into a dilapidated rural villa to reinvigorate his creative energies, becomes obsessed with an uninhibited countess who died there many years prior. The film inspired one of Morricone’s most fascinating scores, and one of his favorites. The composer based his ideas on two different musical styles: one more phantasmagorical, ethereal, and the other experimental, aggressive, with an essential contribution from the famous avant-garde group of which Morricone was a member: Gruppo D’improvisazione Nuova Consonanza. This musical duality allows Morricone to reflect how sanity gradually and irretrievably loses ground to madness in Franco Nero’s character.
