French music producer Philippe Le Bras spent years developing the concept of a compilation on which Dylan's influence is obvious at every second, although not a single cover version of his songs can be found.

'Hergest Ridge' is Mike Oldfield's follow up to his debut album, 'Tubular Bells'. Similar to his first album it is a single composition split into two parts covering different moods and musical styles. Released in 1974 it received a quadraphonic remix in 1976 and a 5.1 surround sound and stereo remix in 2010. David Kosten has recently completed new mixes for this blu-ray in Dolby Atmos, 5.1 and stereo. All eight versions are included plus an additional 'Binaural' version for headphones-only.

Steely Dan's gold-selling third studio album Pretzel Logic, charted at No. 8 on the Billboard 200 and restored the group's radio presence with the single "Rikki Don't Lose That Number," which became the biggest pop hit of their career and peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. The 1974 album was produced by Gary Katz and was written primarily by Walter Becker (bass) and bandleader Donald Fagen (vocals, keyboards). The album marked the beginning of Becker and Fagen's roles as Steely Dan's principal members.

We have not only shed light on Brian's work and his followers, but have also taken a multifaceted look at the songs that may have influenced him. Beginning with Jan & Dane's M1, the first part of the album continues with Brian's work, followed by two good covers of Beach Boys songs, and then we come to his ally Gary Usher. The all-star cast is then introduced with M11 by Van Dyke Parks, M12 by Sagittarius, and M13 by Bruce & Terry. In the middle section, Brian's followers lined up, with the sad M17, followed by the hidden masterpiece M18, which also featured Ian Matthews, and a series of good tunes. M19.20, which talked about his affinity with the hilarious soul of the Philadelphia Soul, picked up Yellow Balloon and Sunrays from the many groups influenced by the Beach Boys, and the story came to a climactic conclusion.

A trio with a really wonderful vibe – captured here in a set of live recordings from the early 80s, a time when all three players were really resonating together with a very unique sense of energy! All three players are certainly ones who can come on strong when they want – Joachim Kuhn on piano, Daniel Humair on drums, and Jean-Francois Jenny-Clark on bass – yet here, they often really find time to open up the space between the notes – not in ways that are mellow, or in an ECM sort of style – but just to allow the bolder expressions to come across with even more bite – almost as if they open the sonic space first, then find ways to fill it on the long improvisations on the set! In June 2025 we saw 'Las Vegas – Down In The Alley – Opening Night 1974' on both CD Deluxe and 2LP Gatefold (available in black and transparent vinyl). This release features Elvis' complete opening show from August 19, 1974 at the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel, at the start of his eleventh season in Sin City. For the first time, this original recording has been remastered and mixed in stereo, creating a unique listening experience of this historic concert. What's special about this show is the strikingly renewed setlist, with songs like Down in the Alley, Good Time Charlie's Got the Blues, It's Midnight and If You Talk in Your Sleep. Fans of the classics will also get their money's worth with songs like Polk Salad Annie, Bridge Over Troubled Water and Can't Help Falling in Love. Many renowned jazz musicians can be heard on the 10 CDs in this collection, but it is Gerry Mulligan’s work as arranger, composer and baritone saxophone player that is the focus. It took time for the rather ponderous, darkertoned baritone saxophone to achieve recognition as a solo instrument, but Mulligan played it with a lightness and elegance previously unknown. Born in New York, the youngest of four brothers, Gerald Joseph “Gerry” Mulligan lived even as a teenager in several different places in the USA and learnt to play in succession the piano, clarinet, alto, tenor and finally baritone saxophone. This 10 CD box set includes nineteen original jazz albums by the renowned jazz saxophonist Gerry Mulligan from the years 1954 to 1962. It features a mixture of classic albums and rare live recordings with Mulligan alongside world-class stars such as Thelonious Monk, Chet Baker, Lee Konitz, Zoot Sims and Paul Desmond.
